Incarnation is a community-centred education, retail and work space dedicated to minimising the ecological impacts of the textile and fashion industries.

We are makers who work solely with reclaimed materials, repairing and repurposing, and therefore promote alternate ways of the consumption of clothing and objects.

We design, educate and create with the future of our planet’s health in mind.

We are working on an exciting new Incarnation of our business, launching in 2024. See below for more details.

Looking to take a workshop?

We will be launching our workshop program in 2024. We want to know what kinds of workshops you are interested in participating in. The themes of all of our workshops will be centred around sustainable making, repurposing and mending. We will offer workshops for people of all ages, running some for young people during school holiday times. Let us know what kind of workshop you’re interested in, or if you’re just happy to receive our upcoming workshop schedule.

Natural fibre fabric recycling

We are developing a recycling service to transform natural-fibre textile waste into a useful ‘fill’ product. Ideal for makers who would like to reduce their environmental impact, and move towards circularity. We will accept your natural-fibre fabric off-cuts, sort and shred them into useable and purchasable fill.

We also accept damaged clothing that cannot be donated to op-shops, that is clean and free of hardware and trims. Currently, any damaged clothing that is donated to Australian op-shops are sent to landfill.

We want to divert this waste and transform it into a useful product that our community can enjoy again and again.
